Multiplying Healthy Churches in Hokkaido, Japan We are currently serving on the northern most island of Hokkaido, living in Sapporo, the city that hosted the 1972 winter Olympics. It is a city of 1.8 million with only about 25 out of every 10,000 worshipping in a Christian church on any given Sunday.
    After return from Home Assignment in the spring of 2005 we started our next assignment of reproducing communities of Christians.  
    Given the task and resources, we using small group gatherings in our home or other public places for worship and planning ministry center from which to do outreach and training.  Here, we could provide a spot when students and people from the community can come and chat, English classes, student housing, a place for Moms and Tots, and other activities.
